Bonus: Everything coming to Universal Epic Universe

 

Universal Epic Universe is the fourth park in Universal Orlando Resort, and for the final post of this blog, I will talk about all of the things coming here, ranked by how much I'm looking forward to them. This immersive park will be a total game-changer, scheduled to open in 2025, and will feature five astounding worlds.

#17 Constellation Carousel

Location: Celestial Park
Height Requirement: None
Scope: A-Ticket
This is a seaglass carousel with constellation-themed vehicles, moving around and going up and down.

#16 Wand Magic

Location: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic
Height Requirement: None
Scope: B-Ticket
Guests can travel around Wizarding Paris, casting spells and discovering some Fantastic Beasts on the loose.

#15 Dragon Racers Rally

Location: How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk
Height Requirement: 48 in.
Scope: B-Ticket
Guests can simulate dragon flight on two spinners, able to create as mild or as wild of an experience as they want. They can fly with Astrid, "the best" Dragon Racer, or with Snotlout, "the worst" Dragon Racer.

#14 Key Challenges

Location: Super Nintendo World
Height Requirement: None
Scope: B-Ticket
With an interactive band, guests can travel around Super Mario Land and interact with mini games. From blowing up a koopa troopa to snoozing timers, there's a lot to do, and every game will give guests a key. Once they get all keys, they can go to Bowser, Jr.'s fortress and take back the Golden Mushroom in a shadow showdown.

#13 Astronomica

Location: Celestial Park
Height Requirement: None
Scope: A-Ticket
This is a small splash zone where guests can interact with water fountains.

#12 Viking Training Camp

Location: How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk
Height Requirement: None
Scope: B-Ticket
This is a children's play area where guests can learn about the many classes of dragons.

#11 Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment

Location: Dark Universe
Height Requirement: 48 in.
Scope: E-Ticket
This thrilling KUKA arm dark ride pits guests against some of the most infamous monsters in Universal's history as they attempt to restore order.

The backstory of this ride is that guests are coming into this old manor to see a demonstration by Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the great-great granddaughter of Dr. Henry Frankenstein. It is unclear whether Victoria is good or bad, but she does want to bring fame back to her family's name. Underneath her mansion, she has brought back all of Universal's classic monsters and is attempting to control them, but when Dracula leads a rebellion against her, things go sideways and she and the guests must restore order.

#10 Fyre Drill

Location: How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk
Height Requirement: None
Scope: D-Ticket
This interactive water shooter ride is where guests go on boats, shooting targets and gaining points. However, the prankster twins Ruffnut and Tuffnut have made it so that some boats are shooting each other, thus making guests get wet.

#9 Curse of the Werewolf

Location: Dark Universe
Height Requirement: 40 in.
Scope: D-Ticket
This spinning coaster sends guests through the forest, encountering a pack of werewolves as they do. This is a family-friendly thrill ride, even though it still has its fair shares of intensity.

#8 Le Cirque Arcanus

Location: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic
Height Requirement: None
Scope: C-Ticket
Guests come into a circus tent and watch a live show with special effects, performers, puppetry, and the like. Here, the circus is struggling, so the owner has stolen Newt Scamander's briefcase to use its creatures in his show. However, when things get out of hand, it's up to his squib assistant to make things right.

#7 Yoshi's Adventure

Location: Super Nintendo World
Height Requirement: 34 in.
Scope: C-Ticket
This slow-moving omnimover ride offers great views of Super Nintendo World, and allows guests to ride a Yoshi as they look for the three glowing eggs.

#6 Hiccup's Wing Gliders

Location: How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk
Height Requirement: 40 in.
Scope: E-Ticket
This is a family coaster that goes through Berk, careening through the isle's many landforms. Hiccup has created this coaster to simulate dragon flight, but Toothless isn't happy about it, so he launches the coaster before Hiccup can put wings on it.

#5 The Untrainable Dragon

Location: How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk
Height Requirement: None
Scope: C-Ticket
This Broadway-style show combines puppetry, effects, actors, and more to tell a great story. Here, Hiccup and Astrid must deal with a mysterious new dragon that has arrived on the island, and answer the question of whether or not it is truly Untrainable.

#4 Stardust Racers

Location: Celestial Park
Height Requirement: 48 in.
Scope: E-Ticket
This is a multi-launch dueling coaster where guests ride comets through the night sky. It features a part where one track goes over the other, thus allowing guests to look up at their opponents.

#3 Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge

Location: Super Nintendo World
Height Requirement: 40 in.
Scope: E-Ticket
In this Augmented Reality dark ride, guests are placed in the middle of a Mario Kart race. Their objective is to gain 100 coins for Team Mario so that they can beat Team Bowser in the race. Along the way, guests will travel through an elaborate course and hit enemies with items.

#2 Mine Cart Madness

Location: Super Nintendo World
Height Requirement: 36 in.
Scope: E-Ticket
This is a jumping roller coaster that goes over tracks. Here, guests travel through a lost jungle temple as they attempt to help Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong stop the Tak Tiki Tribe from stealing the Golden Banana.

#1 Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry

Location: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic
Height Requirement: 40 in.
Scope: E-Ticket
This is a next-generation thrill ride where guests ride in the lifts of the British Ministry of Magic. It combines advanced technology and ride systems to bring it to life.

The ride takes place after Voldemort has been defeated. The Ministry is now restored and the supporters of Voldemort are being held on trial for their crimes. However, Dolores Umbridge has escaped and plans to repair a broken time turner so she can bring back Voldemort's reign, and it's up to Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Umbridge's former house-elf, Higgledy, to stop her.
